ABOUT LVDG Borgo Grillo

We are a small-lot, hand-tended farm, producing olive oil, orchard fruits and—wine. Tuscan tradition guides us as we tend the land, and we embrace new approaches to élevage and cooperage in the wine cellar.

Le Vigne del Grillo (LVDG Borgo Grillo) is located in Tuscany—the first stop along the Strada del Vino e Olio di Lucca, where the Apuan Alps meet the sea. This is a unique corner of Coastal Tuscany, known for Vermentino and Syrah.

We make fewer than 500 cases per year and focus on only three wines each season. No two harvests are the same. We release our wines each year as a Harvest Set— our three distinct wines packaged together and sent all over the world – sharing the expression of one patch of dirt, one season, and the work of one team.

Our 2025 season proved exceptional. Our winemaker earned 96.33 points for our Vermentino at the International Concorso Vermentino, placing LVDG among the most distinctive expressions of the variety. It is a grape—and a wine—we love.

For those who find LVDG, we welcome you to our small farm and into a celebration of patience and beauty in nature—one vineyard, three wines, one season at a time.

The work is in the dirt.

Grand Gold award certificate for LVDG Borgo Grillo Vermentino wine.
